The Sales Tax & Accounting Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant sales and use tax reporting across multiple states while supporting the organization's broader accounting operations. This role calculates and files multi-state tax returns, maintains tax records and exemption certificates, monitors nexus requirements, and stays current on changing tax laws and regulations. In addition to serving as the internal subject matter expert on sales and use tax, the position supports audits, manages fixed assets, inventory reconciliations. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, proficiency in Excel and accounting systems, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
