Job summary

Derse, Inc. is looking for a Sales Tax Accountant to join their Corporate Accounting team in Milwaukee. The role involves ensuring timely and accurate tax filings, managing sales and use tax compliance, and continuously improving tax processes.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, at least 5 years of related experience, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This role is not eligible for remote work and must be performed onsite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field; or 5+ years related experience.
• Prior experience working in Sales Tax required.
• CPA License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns.
• Ensure accurate filing and timely payments of sales tax returns.
• Review transactions for taxability and compliance with regulations.
