The Sales Support Specialist plays a critical role in enabling the efficiency and success of the sales team by managing administrative functions, facilitating customer communication, maintaining sales documentation, and ensuring a smooth flow of order processing. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
What YOU will do:
Sales Support & Order Management:
- Prepare and revise art quotes, especially when sales representatives are unavailable to do so.
- Consolidate customer emails and spreadsheets to process and submit apparel orders.
- Manage apparel order documentation for remote sales personnel.
- Handle new customer setups via support email and OneNote trip notes.
- Process regular and sales tax credits, coordinating approvals and documentation as required.
- Follow up on credits and call tags in collaboration with the warehouse and sales team.
Administrative Tasks:
- Create and maintain trip reports organized by city and state.
- Enter and update trip notes from OneNote into SAP, including customer updates and prospect requests.
- Organize and manage apparel and hard goods sample orders.
- Manage inactive item requests.
- Handle prospect art requests, including scanning and filing.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleanup of outdated activity content.
Catalog and Special Projects:
- Assist with vendor and cost labeling for catalogs.
- Proofread and prepare catalogs for distribution.
- Coordinate employee apparel orders.
- Serve as a backup point of contact for external representatives when needed.
- Conduct cost and inventory checks for specific apparel orders.
Who YOU are:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience in sales support or operations.
- 2+ years of experience in a support or administrative role within a sales or customer service environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with SAP or similar systems.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
