Job summary

Meats by Linz in Dallas, TX is seeking a Sales Assistant to provide essential administrative support to the Dallas Sales Team. You will assist Sales Representatives with customer requests, orders, quotes, and information, and coordinate with Warehouse, Purchasing, and Transportation to ensure accurate order processing.

You’ll maintain customer records, handle inquiries by phone and email, monitor backorders, and help resolve issues in a fast-paced food distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in sales support, customer service, order entry, inside sales, or administrative support preferred.
• Experience in food distribution, meat, seafood, restaurant supply, or wholesale distribution is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily administrative support to the Dallas Sales Team.
• Assist Sales Representatives with customer requests, order updates, and follow-up.
• Enter and process customer orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with quotes, pricing, product availability, and order information.
• Communicate with customers by phone and email regarding orders and inquiries.
• Assist with resolving customer concerns and coordinate with internal departments.
• Monitor orders and follow up on backorders, shortages, credits, and issues.
• Maintain accurate customer accounts and sales information in company systems.
• Assist with new customer account setup and maintaining customer records.
• Communicate with Warehouse, Purchasing, Transportation, and Operations to ensure proper processing.
• Follow up on customer requests and ensure issues are addressed timely.
• Maintain organized records of customer communications, orders, and sales information.
• Answer and direct incoming calls and emails as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of customer, pricing, and company information.
• Follow all company policies and food safety requirements.
