Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in Portland, OR is seeking store teammates who are passionate about helping athletes find the right gear and delivering an exceptional shopping experience. You will greet customers, support their needs, and maintain presentation standards.

You will also handle omni-channel services (Ship From Store, Buy Online Pickup in Store, Curbside), participate in loss prevention, and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive store environment while collaborating with the team.

Qualifications

• Prior retail sales, operations, maintenance, or customer-focused experience preferred.
• Able to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift 15–35 lbs repetitively.
• Able to stand/ walk for extended periods (up to 4 hours) and work at heights greater than 4 feet with ladder or lift.
• Able to perform repetitive motions for short periods (up to 2 hours).

Responsibilities

• Greet teammates and customers to understand their needs and support their shopping experience.
• Ensure that all merchandise and product received at the store is processed in accordance with established programs and procedures.
• Uphold company merchandising and presentation standards.
• Fulfill the company-defined customer experience by completing all processes according to our service level standards (omni fulfillment: Ship From Store, Buy Online Pickup in Store, Curbside).
• Participate in Loss Prevention procedures related to Omni-Channel processes; assist in daily FedEx Box Count Audits.
• Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures.
• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect.
• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

  completing daily FedEx Box Count Audits according to company Inventory Control and Loss Prevention standards.

• Fulfill the company-defined customer experience by completing all processes according to our service level standards.

• Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures. Maintains confidentiality of all Company information.

• Create an inclusive store environment where everyone (teammates and customers) feels welcome, safe, and is treated with respect.

• Take an all-hands-on-deck approach to support the team across the store.

• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prior retail sales, operations, maintenance, or customer-focused experience preferred

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).

• Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking. Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.

• Ability to perform repetitive motions for short periods of time (up to 2 hours continuously).
