Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) offers a 13-week Sales Summer Internship designed to give hands-on experience across Design, Production, Customer Service, and Sales. Interns will also participate in a corporate office visit in Lake Forest, IL to engage with marketing, meet PCA leadership, and network with fellow interns.

Upon successful completion, interns may be offered a full-time position to begin after graduation into PCA’s GIFT Program (rotational sales development program).

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a student majoring in Sales, Marketing, Business or related discipline and have completed their freshman year.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 is required.
• Must be eligible to work in the US on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Mentor will guide your development throughout the summer.
• Work on special projects across Design, Customer Service, Production and Sales.
• Understand PCA’s business, industry, and sales process.
• Build core sales skills: communication, presentation, time management, problem-solving, networking.
• Assist with customer communication: inquiries, new items, lead follow-up, and complaint resolution.
• Build a prospect list and visit customers with experienced Sales Representatives.
• Present a final project to management and interns.
