Job summary

Packaging-Corporation-of-America (PCA) offers a 13-week Sales Summer Internship spanning Design, Production, Customer Service, and Sales. Interns gain hands-on experience and participate in a Lake Forest, IL corporate office visit to engage with marketing and PCA leadership.

Upon successful completion, interns may be offered a full-time position into PCA’s GIFT Program (rotational sales development). Mentors support development throughout the summer.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled as a student in Sales, Marketing, Business or related discipline and have completed freshman year.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0 is required.
• Must be eligible to work in the US on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Pair with a mentor to guide development during the summer.
• Work on special projects across Design, Customer Service, Production and Sales.
• Understand PCA’s business, industry, and sales process.
• Build core sales skills: communication, presentation, time management, problem-solving, networking.
• Assist with customer communication: inquiries, new items, lead follow-up, and complaint resolution.
• Build a prospect list and visit customers with experienced Sales Representatives.
• Present a final project to the management team and fellow interns.
