Job summary

A leading insurance brokerage is seeking candidates for their Summer Internship Program in Brentwood, TN. The program will commence on June 1, 2026, and conclude on July 31, 2026. Interns will gain experience in various areas of the insurance brokerage industry, such as Employee Benefits and Property & Casualty. Responsibilities include working with mentors, attending leadership presentations, and networking with other interns. Ideal candidates are college juniors or seniors pursuing a career in commercial insurance or employee benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be entering junior or senior year in fall 2026 pursuing a career in commercial insurance or employee benefits.
• Involvement in sports, student government, college clubs or community service with leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with mentors to receive assignments and ask questions.
• Attend presentations from Senior Leadership Team about organizational functions.
• Visit insurance carriers to understand their role in the industry.
• Participate in marketing, policy review, and client meetings.
• Meet and network with fellow interns and professionals.

Brown & Brown is seeking candidates for our Summer Internship Program in Brentwood, TN!

Our interns will be provided with the opportunity to gain an introduction to various areas within the insurance brokerage industry, as well as a deep dive into either the Employee Benefits or Property & Casualty teams.

Program starts June 1, 2026, and ends July 31, 2026.

How You Will Contribute:

• Work with dedicated mentors to train, receive daily work assignments, ask questions, etc.
• Presentations from Senior Leadership Team to help gain a comprehensive understanding of organizational functions and career paths.
• Opportunity to visit both Employee Benefits and Property & Casualty insurance carriers to learn about their organization and how it relates to the industry.
• Involvement in a variety of activities such as marketing, policy review, client renewal presentations and onsite client meetings as available.
• Opportunity to meet and work alongside a variety of students from varying schools
• Networking challenges - creating opportunity to connect with professionals across departments and build meaningful relationships with peers and mentors.
• Participate in sessions focused on building and refining skills surrounding professional business acumen.
• Collaborate on a real-world project and present strategic recommendations to leadership with other fellow interns.

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

• Must be entering junior or senior year in fall 2026 and pursuing a career in commercial insurance or employee benefits
• Involvement in combination of sports, student government, college clubs or community service (Leadership activity in these events is a plus)
