Job summary

The Restaurant Store is hiring a Sales Specialist to assist the Sales Manager at a retail branch location. You’ll help develop a strong sales culture, align with merchandising, order fulfillment and inventory teams to ensure a great TRS experience for customers.

You’ll support sales goals, grow membership, enhance product knowledge, and coordinate on-site visits. This role emphasizes communication, training, and on-site execution at the Delaware branch.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or supply chain management.
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• This role does not require a degree.

Responsibilities

• Support sales growth within location's market and achieve metric goals as outlined by the company.
• Contribute to the internal quote system and coordinate on-site visits for appropriate sales opportunities.
• Develop and maintain extensive product knowledge and conduct product training as needed within the branch location.
• Build and maintain a working understanding of DiSC profiling to match customer needs with a sales team member.
• Communicate with Field Marketing team to identify opportunities within the local market that support future growth.
• Communicate with Branch / Assistant Branch Manager(s) to identify charitable organizations to support within the local market.
• Support year-over-year membership growth at all levels within the local market.
• Support the growth and utilization of TRS order fulfillment methods to best support customer needs.
• Perform additional tasks and support initiatives as assigned by management to ensure smooth location operations and alignment with overall business goals.
• Maintain the overall cleanliness of the store.

Job Summary

The Sales Specialist with The Restaurant Store is responsible for assisting the Sales Manager with various aspects of developing and maintaining an effective sales culture for a retail branch location. The Sales Specialist will achieve a variety of sales goals through effective day-to-day strategies that align with our merchandising, order fulfillment, and inventory teams to ensure customers are satisfied with their TRS experience.

Physical Requirements

• Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours/day.
• Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
• Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
• Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
• Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or supply chain management
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Desired Traits & Skills

• Proficiency with MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and experience with CRM systems and project management tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understanding
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence
