This position reports to

District Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for the sales of Electrification Smart Buildings products within Columbia, SC, and surrounding areas, aligned with division strategy. Your daily tasks include achieving qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable growth in orders, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will identify and develop new sales opportunities, showcase your expertise, and educate customers about product differentiators through technical presentations. Collaborate with Product Managers to identify product gaps, provide feedback, and facilitate new product introductions. Generate cross-selling leads to simplify doing business with ABB Industrial Solutions. This is a remote position, ideally for candidates located in the Columbia, SC metro area, contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings division in the U.S.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of sales experience in large commercial construction and industrial projects, preferably in electrical products.
  • Experience working with electrical contractors and channel partners.
  • Knowledge of the electrical industry and ABB products in the region is preferred.
  • Proficiency in analytical software and sales tools; Salesforce.com experience is a plus.
  • Ability to apply Six Sigma principles; Six Sigma or similar training is advantageous.
  • Understanding of the full product portfolio, including power distribution and installation products, is preferred.
