The Sales Solution Architect – Payer Market is responsible for playing a critical part in driving successful sales engagements by providing in-depth clinical expertise and technical knowledge to potential clients. The SSA will understand complex clinical workflows, articulate solution value, and bridge the gap between clinical requirements and technical capabilities to position MCG's products and services as optimal solutions for healthcare organizations.

As part of the MCG Sales team, this position will work closely with Sales, Account Management, Implementation, Product, and Sales Operations teams. The SSA will partner with Sales Executives to identify key business problems prospects and customers face and then map appropriate MCG solutions to demonstrate the value of solving each problem. The SSA will be a strategic partner for Sales, providing recommendations, suggestions, and helping to identify potential concerns or obstacles related to opportunities.

Responsibilities:
  1. Partner with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Operations teams to understand client needs and propose solutions aligned with our technology platform.
  2. Be an expert user of all MCG software products, configuration, and customization tools.
  3. Deliver tailored solution presentations and demonstrations.
  4. Build relationships with internal and external partners to become a trusted advisor.
  5. Manage discussions with technical and clinical audiences.
  6. Understand business problems and the clinical and financial benefits of MCG solutions.
  7. Develop ROI and economic models with the Sales Operations & Analytics team.
  8. Create and maintain technical documentation and market collateral.
  9. Participate in software development projects, providing feedback on design and configuration.
  10. Provide voice of customer insights to product and customer success teams.
  11. Drive process improvements to increase sales efficiency.
  12. Stay current on product features and deficiencies.
  13. Use Salesforce for process facilitation and documentation.
  14. Manage security assessments and client-required documentation.
  15. Collaborate with the CARE team for clinical insights and content understanding.
  16. Monitor competitors and use value statements to position solutions.
  17. Showcase clinical content effectively to various audiences.
  18. Support a culture reflecting virtues of the Ideal Team Player and company values.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical solution demonstration experience.
  • Extensive clinical experience in health plan or TPA settings.
  • Understanding of software development, architectures, data analytics, and integrations.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience engaging with C-Suite executives.
  • Proven track record of matching client needs with solutions.
  • Knowledge of health plan operations and healthcare terminology.
  • Strong presentation and client-facing communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with MCG products and services.
  • Active RN or LPN license.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt to change.
  • Self-motivated and professional.

Pay Range: $134,200–$187,900 annually.

Other Compensation: Bonus eligible.
