Job summary

Miller Poultry in Orland, IN is seeking a results-driven Sales/Meat Manager to monitor competitor activity, support marketing efforts, and drive product positioning across retail channels. You will coordinate promotions, manage pricing strategies, and build relationships with farm partners and customers to grow sales.

The role requires leadership in sales planning, strong communication, and a history of driving improvements in product visibility and customer engagement.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $85,000.00 Annually

With roots in northeast Indiana, we are a family-owned company that has been raising and processing organic and all-natural chicken with the help of local farm families for over 30 years. Essential Functions Statement(s)

• Participates in advertising and promotion activities
• Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy
• Monitors competitor products, sales and marketing activities
• Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners
• Establishes and maintains a consistent corporate image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events
• Represents company at trade shows and meetings to promote product
• Coordinating liaison between sales department and other production units
• Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
• Effective ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-management, internal and external customers
• Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues
• Respond to complaints within 24 hours or sooner
• Assist in sales presentations with new customers and market level training with existing clients
• Demo products at the store level or trade shows
• Monitor and give product quality feedback on company brands and competitor’s products
• Provide Daily Service reports, weekly summaries and monthly expense reports

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university) Preferred
Experience: 5+ years Meat Manager, Lead cutter or equal experience Preferred

Computer Skills: Basic working knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point
