Job summary

Stryker in Alabama is seeking a Field-based Sales Representative for its Smart Care division. You will promote and sell the Smart Care platform to hospitals and healthcare providers, coordinating with IT and clinical teams to meet patient care goals.

The role requires a proven sales track record, the ability to manage long, multi-stakeholder cycles, and physical readiness to demonstrate equipment up to 50 pounds. Travel up to 70% is expected.

Sales Representative – Smart Care

As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling Stryker’s Smart Care solutions to hospitals and healthcare providers. Selling the entire Smart Care Platform includes hands-free wearables, Engage intelligent workflow engine, smartphone applications and care.ai. Smart Care’s mission is to simplify and improve the lives of healthcare professionals, patients, and families, while helping hospitals enhance quality of care, operational efficiency, and the overall healthcare experience. Beyond healthcare, Smart Care’s solutions are also used in aged care facilities, veterinary hospitals, luxury hotels, retail stores, schools, power plants, libraries, and more. You will build and maintain strong customer relationships, address inquiries, negotiate pricing, and manage orders. By staying informed on industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes, you’ll effectively position Smart Care’s products in the market.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote and sell Stryker Smart Care products to meet our customers’ needs in a sales or clinical Information Technology setting.
• Identify, qualify and close new customer sales opportunities in designated territory.
• Plan and implement effective territory sales strategy required to progress deals through the process.
• Forecast and maintain necessary pipeline to support quota achievement quarter over quarter.
• Advance opportunities efficiently and with a sense of urgency through the sales cycle.
• Build and maintain executive and key customer relationships through the C-suite to build trust and close deals.
• Conduct solution-focused customer presentations, including coordinating the involvement of all necessary internal team members.
• High school diploma and 5+ years of professional experienceBachelor’s Degree.

• Demonstrate proficiency in managing complex sales cycles typically defined as six months or longer with multiple stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers at multiple levels.
• Proven track record of consistently meeting and/or exceeding sales quotas.
• At times, may be required to move, set up and demonstrate equipment weighing up to 50 pounds - reach, push, or pull in order to accomplish job accountabilities.
• Coordination of the eye, hand and foot movement with an ability to grasp by hand and meet cognitive demands to include visual and auditory discrimination / memory, reading ability and memory retention.
• May handle various materials including but limited to: durcot fabric, nylon fabric, Velcro, zippers, product components comprised of rubber, metals and coated products.

Compensation and Benefits

$100,000 -105,000 and may be eligible to earn commission and/or bonuses + benefits. Travel Percentage: 70%
