Elliott-Lewis Corporation, a premier HVAC/R contractor, seeks a seasoned Sales Representative with HVAC/R or Mechanical Construction experience to join our New Jersey team. This full-time, exempt role offers a base salary plus commissions and the opportunity to manage contracts for design, installation, and energy management.

You will generate new business, cultivate strong client relationships, and coordinate with project managers.

Qualifications

• Education: 4 year degree OR applicable field work experience in HVAC/R
• Minimum of 5 years sales experience with a mechanical contractor
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Negotiating, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Ability to balance communications between internal and external customers at all levels
• Capable of pivoting between small and large sized projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook

SALES REPRESENTATIVE - HVAC/R AND MECHANICAL

Position Overview

Seeking a seasoned, motivated and driven Sales Representative with experience in HVAC/R or Mechanical Construction to join our growing team of professionals. Preferred candidates possess the education, experience, and versatility to handle contracts for our client’s mechanical and HVAC/R service, design, installation, and energy management needs. The ideal candidate will be seeking a long-term relationship with an employer to further their career. This is a full-time and exempt (salaried) position with commission in addition to the base salary.

Elliott-Lewis Corporation is a full-service HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) contractor. The Mechanical Services department provides maintenance, repair and operations, as well as new installations, replacements, design/build and building automation control services to commercial, industrial, and governmental customers.

Role And Responsibilities

• Minimum of 5 years sales experience working for a mechanical contractor in the industry
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Negotiating, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Ability to balance communications between internal and external customers at all levels
• Capable of pivoting between small and large sized projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically: Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preferred Skills

• Microsoft Dynamics/GP (an accounting software) experience highly desired
• DocLink software (an Accounts Payable SAAS) experience highly desired
• Microsoft Office experience in SharePoint and Teams
• Experience with DocuSign

Physical Requirements

• Regularly requires a high degree of mental effort, talk and hear, gross and fine manipulation, read both print and screens for extended periods of time.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
• Regularly required to walk and sit
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, lift 25 lbs. max, stand and stoop, kneel, or crouch, and climb stairs
• Expected to work in a loud level of volume environment.
