Job summary

United Ag & Turf in Texas is seeking a field sales representative to sell new and used agricultural, compact construction, and turf equipment. You will represent the dealership in a defined sales area, conduct equipment demos, and maintain customer relationships.

The role offers commission-based pay with bonuses, 401(k) match, health benefits, and a vehicle allowance, with focus on exceptional customer experience across parts, sales, service, and transportation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• One-year prior equipment sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represents the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area.
• Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of equipment.
• Monitors competitive activity and communicates to management in a timely manner.
• Maintains all customer information in the assigned territory for sales management.
• Knows and follows a defined sales process.
• Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events.
• Conducts new equipment field demonstrations.
• Monitors trends in customers’ business activities and communicates to management.
• Maintains knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing purchases.
• Attends applicable sales training events/seminars.

Purpose

Sells new and used agricultural, compact construction, and turf equipment to new and existing customers.

Responsibilities

The following are essential functions of this position:

• Represents the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area
• Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership
• Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management, accordingly
• Maintains all customer information in assigned territory for sales management
• Knows and follows a defined sales process
• Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events
• Conducts new equipment field demonstrations
• Monitors trends in customer’s business activities and timely communicates to management
• Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
• Attends applicable sales training events/seminars
• May maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes

Requirements

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Education, Experience And Requirements

• One- year prior equipment sales experience.
• Knowledge of commercial equipment.
• Ability to use standard desktop load functions such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Excellent customer relationship skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports
