Job summary

United Ag & Turf in Texas seeks an equipment sales professional to represent the company across a defined sales area. You will present new and used agricultural, compact construction, and turf equipment.

You will maintain product knowledge, manage customer information, conduct field demonstrations, and support financing options. The role offers salary plus commission and bonus opportunities.

• Monitors trends in customers' business activities and communicates with management.
• Maintains knowledge of financing options to aid purchases.
• Attends applicable sales training events/seminars.
• May maintain knowledge of used equipment values for trading purposes.

Purpose

Sells new and used agricultural, compact construction, and turf equipment to new and existing customers.

Responsibilities

The following are essential functions of this position:

• Represents the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area
• Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership
• Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management, accordingly
• Maintains all customer information in assigned territory for sales management
• Knows and follows a defined sales process
• Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events
• Conducts new equipment field demonstrations
• Monitors trends in customer's business activities and timely communicates to management
• Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
• Attends applicable sales training events/seminars
• May maintain current knowledge of used equipment values and ability to evaluate properly for trading purposes

Requirements

Required Education and Experience

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Education, Experience And Requirements

• One- year prior equipment sales experience.
• Knowledge of commercial equipment.
• Ability to use standard desktop load functions such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
• Ability to work flexible hours
• Excellent customer relationship skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret basic sales reports

Physical Demands

This position requires various physical demands that are necessary to perform the essential functions of the position, including: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands; reach with hand and arms; and talk or hear. The employee will frequently be required to sit, walk, climb, balance, and tolerate extreme outdoor conditions. Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
