Job description

We are currently seeking a Sales Representative for a direct hire employee role with our 3PL client in Los Angeles, CA (Remote Accepted). This organization is an International and Domestic Freight Forwarder offering 3PL nationwide and established in 2006. They have a strong presence in Domestic transportation brokerage and are able to service import and export shipments. This position will be reporting directly to the President/CEO.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of direct Transportation Sales experience and Logistics Industry experience.

The Sales Representative will be responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals. Duties will include sales presentations, as well as negotiating contracts with potential clients. To be successful in this role, you will need to have a deep understanding of the sales process and dynamics of transportation logistics, as well as superb interpersonal skills. An existing book of business and potential client contacts is a must.


Responsibilities include:

  1. Prospect and qualify new sales leads
  2. Schedule meetings and presentations with prospects
  3. Onboard new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients
  4. Bi-weekly reporting on potential leads and progress
  5. Communicate customer needs, client expectations, and operational requirements to satisfy customers
  6. Maintain a well-developed pipeline of prospects
  7. Develop strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers
  8. Meet and/or exceed quotas
  9. Coordinate with other team members and departments to optimize the sales effort

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  2. 2-4 years of sales experience in logistics or similar
  3. Proven ability to meet and exceed sales quotas
  4. A commitment to excellent customer service
  5. Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships
  6. Excellent interpersonal skills
  7. Highly self-motivated
  8. Strong verbal and written communication skills
  9. Proficient in Microsoft Office
