About this position
New Jersey/Delaware — Full Time.
DiVal Safety Equipment, a leader in Fire, EMS, and safety equipment distribution, seeks a self‑motivated team player to expand our Fire division. The role reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager and focuses on managing and expanding relationships with existing customers while developing new accounts to drive sales, service, and profitability within an assigned territory.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Achieve annual sales growth initiatives within assigned territory.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities while expanding existing accounts.
- Maintain accurate CRM activity.
- Plan and execute effective sales calls (50% of your time) using clear objectives.
- Partner with internal specialists to deliver a solutions‑based customer experience.
- Introduce and promote value‑driven products aligned with customer needs.
- Drive growth within existing accounts, including recovering lost business.
- Build and maintain long‑term customer relationships.
- Address and resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Professional Skills & Requirements
- 2–3 years of sales experience required (B2B or public safety preferred).
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Strong consultative selling skills, including prospecting, networking, and negotiation.
- Ability to analyze sales reports and make data‑driven decisions.
- Solid understanding of territory dynamics and competitive landscape.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Proficiency in basic math and business calculations.
- Working knowledge of CRM systems and standard business software.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.

- Willingness to travel, including up to 25% overnight travel.
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds when required.
- Ability to work long periods of time on a computer.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time (possibly up to 8 hours).
