RTC of Southern Nevada seeks a customer-focused associate to handle sales transactions and assist riders with transit information and planning.
The role requires a High School diploma or GED and at least six months in office, retail, or customer service settings. Bilingual applicants may have an advantage. A valid Class C driver’s license is required; background checks will be conducted. Shifts may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
**Although there is a salary range for this position, the candidate hired into this position will be hired at the bottom of the salary range.**

Conducts sales transactions and provides information and assistance to customers in relation to transit services.

Must possess and maintain a valid Class C Driver's License at time of application.
Employment with the Regional Transportation Commission in this position is contingent upon the results of a comprehensive education/experience background investigation as well as criminal history, social security trace, personal credit history, and driving history records check.
Physical ability to perform office and related work, including operating computers and office machinery; stamina to sit and stand for extended periods of time; strength to lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 25 pounds; vision to read printed materials; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. May work outside for periods of time. Accommodations may be made for some of these physical demands for otherwise qualified individuals who require and request such accommodations.
Sells transit fare media and products. Answers inquiries in regard to transportation services, routes, schedules, stop locations, and fares, conducts trip planning. Utilizes street map directory, computer terminal, and other transit information and reference materials. Operates computer terminal and other standard office equipment required to communicate and assist customers. Records and answers customer suggestions, requests and complaints. Refers complaints to appropriate authority for investigation and resolution. Distributes transit information and communicates RTC policies to the general public. Receives cash, makes change and accounts for monetary activity at the end of shift. Assist customers with Ticket Vending Machines. Processes RTC transit Reduced Fare IDs; searches for lost and found items. Maintains records of activities as required. Provides additional information and assistance to internal and external customers as required. Other duties as assigned.
