Who You Are
As a Sales Representative, you are counted on to cultivate and create new business with scalable accounts that align with Limbach’s target vertical markets, strategic vision, and niche. This has the potential to produce a diverse stream of recurring revenue opportunities at target margins upon maturity.
This Position
Some examples of the work you might do include:
- Understand the company’s vision and pursue customers and opportunities that align with the marketing strategy and the branch’s strategic vision, within the branch’s niche and vertical markets.
- Possess knowledge of mechanical systems, operational costs, and technical skills to study new targets, evaluate competition, and develop unique penetration strategies with compelling value propositions.
- Deliver effective presentations that demonstrate capabilities to the customer and are specific to the building owner account.
- Develop and present professional proposals customized to each customer’s needs.
- Understand customer funding mechanisms and spending cycles.
- Understand customer hierarchy and close sales at various levels of reporting lines and accountability.
- Achieve annual booking quotas through the sale of projects and maintenance at standard pricing levels.
- Maintain accurate sales logs and submit reports to management to communicate activity within a defined time frame.
- Act as a team player and assist others in obtaining or retaining business when needed.
- Engage in industry-specific organizations on behalf of the Company.
What You Need
- 2+ years of applicable selling experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel in particular)
- Aptitude for successfully negotiating with diverse audiences
- Capacity to leverage communication and interpersonal skills to develop and enhance business relationships
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must have a driving record compliant with company policies and MVR requirements, and consent to ongoing driving record monitoring
- Ability to travel locally up to 70% of the time, primarily to client offices, meetings, and job sites
Preferred Qualifications
- College degree or advanced education preferred
- Working knowledge of the HVAC/controls industry

Work Environment
- Operates primarily in a professional office environment with standard office equipment
- Work may require site walk-throughs at local job sites where basic tools may be used and conditions may resemble a construction site
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to sit, stand, talk, walk, hear, and have suitable visual acuity and manual dexterity
- May be required to climb, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, and perform repetitive motions
- Light work with possible exertion up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently
