Job description

You will be a part of our foundational sales team, with ample opportunity to grow. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working in the surfacing industry. This position is remote, and the sales rep will not have to report to the office every day. Your day-to-day activities will require traveling to customers (3.5 out of 5.5 days), working from home - opening new doors, and providing sales service to customers in your territory (2 out of 5 days).

Job Opportunity: Sales Representative at NextGen in Jacksonville, Florida region.

Overview:
Join our industry-leading national sales team to build a customer base in your territory. This remote position offers flexibility and requires prior experience in the surfacing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Travel to customers (3.5 out of 5.5 days) and work from home (2 out of 5 days).
  2. Develop relationships with current and potential customers within a specific territory.
  3. Provide up-to-date information about products and the sales cycle.
  4. Offer excellent sales and after-sales support.
  5. Understand and market our products effectively.
  6. Manage displays, samples, and selling tools.
  7. Quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales contracts.
  8. Research and analyze customer needs based on market information.
  9. Travel locally (40%-80%) and occasionally nationally.
  10. Perform additional duties as required to help grow the company.

Ideal Candidate:

  1. Strong “get it done” attitude.
  2. Valid driver’s license with a good record.
  3. Strong math skills (discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, volume).
  4. Results-oriented, able to work independently and in a team.
  5. Experience with ERP systems and working with international teams (accounting, sales support, product team in the Philippines and India).

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree preferred; High School Diploma required.
