Position Overview: Sales Recruiter, SoCal or Phoenix

This fully remote, newly created position seeks an experienced Contingent Recruiter to manage a full desk, recruiting top talent mainly in sales roles across diverse industries. The ideal candidate is based in the Western U.S. (Southern California or Arizona required) and adopts a quality-focused, consultative approach. You should thrive in an environment that rewards self-motivation and initiative.

In this role, you will…

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle: client kick-off, job description creation, sourcing, screening, presenting candidates, client communication, interview coordination, negotiating offers, and closing placements.
  • Conduct targeted market research to identify and map talent, analyze hiring trends, and benchmark industry standards using tools such as generative AI and other prospecting tools.
  • Serve as the primary contact for clients and candidates throughout the search process across the U.S.
  • Build and nurture client relationships with strategic insights and high-touch communication.
  • Generate 25% of searches through proactive outreach leveraging your network.
  • Source active and passive candidates via LinkedIn, Ezekia database, referrals, and marketing campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and candidate pipelines within our ATS system, Ezekia.
  • Collaborate with the team and report directly to ownership.
  • Provide market intelligence and innovative strategies, offering constructive feedback to streamline processes.
  • Participate in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment that values performance and initiative.

You will thrive if you have…

  • Residency within 1 hour of Phoenix, AZ or San Diego, CA
  • 5–10 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, especially in sales within a contingent environment
  • A mindset as a true Thought Partner for clients and candidates
  • Ability to handle multiple searches and client relationships simultaneously
  • Experience recruiting across industries at mid and senior levels
  • Proven success running a full desk, with 75% of time on searches and 25% on business development
  • Track record billing $300K–$500K annually
  • Ability to work autonomously in a fully remote setting within the Western U.S.
  • Strong negotiation skills and comfort with offer and compensation discussions
  • A commitment to high-touch, relationship-based recruiting
  • Tech-savviness with tools like LinkedIn Recruiter, Ezekia, Generative AI, Lusha, and Octopus

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with boutique search firms
  • Bachelor’s degree (a plus, not required)
  • Passion for elevating the recruitment profession through thoughtful, consultative engagement

Compensation: First-year total between $90K and $130K
