Job summary

Qualifications

  • Prior experience with construction industry products, including general construction, wastewater, or waterworks equipment, preferred 2+ years' experience in Construction Project Management or Project Coordinator.
  • Applicants with industrial or commercial plumbing experience considered.
  • Familiar with digital takeoff and estimating software such as PlanSwift or Bid Tracer.
  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office and ability to adapt to new software.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of a project from start to finish on time and within budget.
  • Recommend products and services that fit clients' business needs.
  • Execute project per organization PM methodology and plan.
  • Establish and maintain sales relationships with major accounts/customers.
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure on-time product delivery and service quality.
  • Supervise progress against the project plan and resolve issues to minimize delays.
  • Work with partners and clients to determine scope, specifications, requirements, and calculations.
  • Conduct project meetings and prepare status reports for stakeholders.
  • Allocate resources and assign tasks to meet targets.
  • Provide assistance to program/project managers to ensure plans are followed.

Ferguson is currently seeking a Sales Project Manager - Septic for our Waterworks Division! In this role, you will be responsible for supporting contractors, installers, engineers, and homeowners by providing product recommendations, quotations, order management, and technical sales support for septic and onsite wastewater systems. This role serves as a key point of contact between customers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure accurate system solutions, timely project execution, and exceptional customer service. The successful candidate will develop strong relationships with customers, identify sales opportunities, and leverage technical knowledge of septic products and regulations to drive revenue growth while delivering a superior customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget
  • Recommend products and services that fit well with clients' business needs
  • Run execution of project in accordance with organization's project management methodology according to established project plan
  • Establish and maintain effective sales relationships with major accounts/customers
  • Regularly answer branch phone calls providing a high level of service to customers
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure they are integrated into the project and that the customer receives products on-time and satisfactory standards of service
  • Supervise progress and performance against the project plan; take action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays
  • Work directly with partners and clients to determine project scope, specifications, requirements, and perform calculations
  • Conduct project meetings and prepare regular reports to communicate the status of the project within and beyond the project team
  • Allocate resources and assign tasks to ensure these targets are met
  • Provide assistance to program/project managers to ensure projects are carried out according to plan
Qualifications
  • Prior experience with construction industry products, including general construction, wastewater, or waterworks equipment, preferred 2+ years' experience prior Construction Project Management or Project Coordinator experience, preferred 2+ years of Waterworks experience preferred
  • Applicants with industrial or commercial plumbing experience considered
  • Familiarly with digital takeoff and estimating software such as PlanSwift or Bid Tracer highly preferred
  • Advanced computer skills, including a strong command of various software applications including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.) and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies
  • Salesforce experience preferredValid driver's license required
Pay Range
  • $4,500.00
  • $9,716.30
  • Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
  • This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
  • Ferguson complies with all wage regulations. The starting wage may be higher in certain locations based on local or state wage requirements.
