Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Sales Project Manager to support projects in the greater Kansas City metro area. You will assist with sales, scope, specs, and requirements, monitor progress, coordinate vendors, and ensure timely delivery. Construction project experience is highly preferred.

The role emphasizes collaboration across sales, purchasing, and operations, with responsibilities spanning quotes, orders, and customer support to drive profitable growth.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (1-3 years) in sales support, project management, administrative, or customer service role.
  • Prior experience with sitework construction-related projects or products, strongly preferred
  • Experience reading blueprints, building plans or drawings, highly preferred
  • Proven attention to detail coupled with interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams)
  • Ability to be flexible, adaptable, and multitasking skills needed, including the ability to balance multiple, urgent requests
  • Self-starter, creative problem solver, and self-sufficient
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to function optimally without daily oversight from management
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management or Engineering

Responsibilities

  • Sales Administration: collaborate with sales, purchasing, operations, and management to fulfill customer expectations and drive profitable sales growth.
  • Prepare accurate sales quotes and proposals on time.
  • Ensure meticulous processing of sales orders, invoices, and contracts.
  • Provide essential technical assistance to customers as needed.
  • Organize, manage, and ensure accessibility of sales documentation for team use.
  • Promote products actively through innovative marketing efforts.
  • Customer Relationship Management: enter and maintain precise customer information in internal systems.
  • Track and document customer interactions, follow up to nurture relationships.
  • Ensure data integrity and updates within the system.
  • Communication and Coordination: maintain effective communication with internal departments for a streamlined sales process.
  • Develop strong customer relationships and act as liaison for communication.
  • Serve as primary point of contact for customer inquiries and requests.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align objectives.
  • Operational/Logistics Support: oversee inventory management, labeling, and timely order processing.
  • Coordinate with branch associates to ensure accurate deliveries.
  • Manage interbranch transfers and intercompany orders.
  • Organize product demonstrations to enhance customer engagement.
  • Other Duties: participate in training, deliver exceptional service, assist with special projects, identify process improvements.

    • Participate in mandatory training programs and stay informed of product knowledge and industry best practices.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service consistently.
    • Assist team with special projects and tasks as required.
    • Identify areas for process improvement to streamline and enhance branch operations.
