Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Porter to maintain an orderly vehicle lot, assist with deliveries, and support showroom displays. The role requires basic automotive knowledge, ability to operate tools, and a valid driver’s license with willingness to drive across states.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of basic automotive repair and maintenance expected.
• Ability to handle machinery safely.
• Must be able to drive across surrounding states to transport vehicles.
• Must be able to drive a manual transmission.
• Valid state driver’s license required.
• Ability to operate an automobile.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Keep vehicle lot neat and orderly and move units as directed by sales managers.
• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Assist with customer deliveries.
• Ensure all vehicles are clean and in good repair on lot and showroom.
• Place window stickers on newly arrived vehicles for display.
• Pickup vehicles from storage and deliver to storage and other dealerships.
• Assist with weather-related clean up when necessary.
• Support building and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job description

The Porter-New/Usedis responsible for performing a variety of duties as they relate to the sale and upkeep of vehicles and the dealership property.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

• Keeping vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving units as directed by the sales managers and in accordance with dealership display standards

• Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed

• Assisting with customer deliveries

• Ensuring all vehicles are clean and in good repair on the lot and showroom

• Ensuring all window stickers are properly placed on newly arrived vehicles for display on the sales floor or lot

• Picking up vehicles from storage and deliver vehicles to storage and other dealerships

• Assisting with weather related clean up when necessary

• Building and grounds maintenance as needed

• Other functions and special projects may be assigned
