Job summary

AutoNation in Miami is seeking a Porter - New to join our dealership team. Responsibilities include answering calls, keeping the lot neat, transporting vehicles, and assisting with deliveries. Must have basic automotive knowledge and a valid driver's license, with the ability to drive manual transmissions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of basic automotive repair and maintenance is preferred.
• Able to operate and handle machinery safely.
• Willingness to drive across surrounding states to transport vehicles.
• Must be comfortable driving manual transmission vehicles.
• Valid state driver's license is required.
• Ability to operate a vehicle and general automotive equipment.
• Capable of using hand and power tools as needed.

Responsibilities

• Answering phones and greeting callers in a friendly manner.
• Keep vehicle lot neat and orderly per display standards.
• Transport customers and dealership personnel as needed.
• Assist with customer deliveries.
• Ensure vehicles are clean and in good repair on lot/showroom.
• Place window stickers on new arrivals for display.
• Pickup and deliver vehicles between storage, lots and dealerships.
• Assist with weather-related clean up and grounds maintenance.
• Undertake other functions and special projects as assigned.

Job description

The Porter - New is responsible for performing a variety of duties as they relate to the sale and upkeep of vehicles and the dealership property.

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?

• Answering phones and greeting all callers in a friendly and courteous manner
• Keeping vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving units as directed by the sales managers and in accordance with dealership display standards
• Transporting customers and dealership personnel, as needed
• Assisting with customer deliveries
• Ensuring all vehicles are clean and in good repair on the lot and showroom
• Ensuring all window stickers are properly placed on newly arrived vehicles for display on the sales floor or lot
• Picking up vehicles from storage and deliver vehicles to storage and other dealerships
• Assisting with weather related clean up when necessary
• Building and grounds maintenance as needed
• Other functions and special projects may be assigned
