THE HOEHN COMPANY INC in Carlsbad, CA is seeking a General Vehicle Porter to support the used car managers. This role maintains the facility and inventory in a ready condition and involves moving vehicles as directed, cleaning, and assisting with reconditioning.

You must have a valid driver’s license and no prior experience is required. This is an hourly role paying $19.00 per hour, with standard dealership schedules and safety compliance expectations.

  • Clean interior and exterior of used vehicles.
  • Assist with vehicle progression through the reconditioning process.
  • Picks up vehicles from and delivers vehicles to customers as directed by management.
  • Starts vehicles weekly and reports any problems or concerns.
  • Add fuel to vehicles as needed.
  • Weekly inspection to check that required forms/stickers have been completed and properly displayed.
  • Completes all required training and maintains 100% completion.
  • Comply with Smoking Policy.

SUMMARY

General support to the used car managers. Maintains the facility and inventory in a ready condition.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Essential Duties include the following.
  • Keeps used vehicle lot neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by the used vehicle manager and in accordance with dealership display standards.
  • Cleans interior and exterior of used vehicles, including the trunk, glove compartment, tires, windows, etc. as needed.
  • Assist with vehicle progression through the reconditioning process
  • Picks up vehicles from and delivers vehicles to customers as directed by management.
  • Starts vehicles weekly and reports any problems or concerns.
  • Add fuel to vehicles as needed.
  • Weekly inspection to check that required forms/stickers (buyer’s guide, prop 65, etc) have been completed and are properly displayed.
  • Completes all required training and maintains 100% completion

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions.
  • Ability to observe deficiencies with appearance of facility and inventory and make recommendation to supervisor.

  • Valid Driver's License
