Job summary

Penske Truck Leasing Co., L.P. is hiring a Sales and Operations Management Trainee in Charlotte, NC. You will learn sales processes, operations, finance, and customer service through training and mentoring, preparing you for management opportunities nationwide.

The role emphasizes solving problems for customers, managing fleets, and generating new business leads in a fast-paced environment. A Bachelor’s degree and valid driver’s license are required to join our dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferred concentration in Business or Marketing.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Internship or related work experience in a customer facing role preferred.
• Results oriented, attention to detail and good time management skills.
• A valid driver’s license is required, as is the ability and willingness to drive Penske vehicles, including a 26’ box truck.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• As this position requires driving Penske and customer vehicles, it is regulated by the DOT and requires a current driver qualification file to be maintained as required by the role.
• Willingness to travel as necessary within the district (customers yards, close geographical area and training sites) and to work at the specified location.

Responsibilities

• Develop consumer and commercial customer solutions for local and national accounts.
• Manage a large inventory of vehicles to balance fleet productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Generate new business leads and foster existing customer relationships.
• Ensure complete customer satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.
