Morris Group, Inc. in Windsor, CT is seeking a Sales Operations & Support Specialist.

This office-based role provides critical operational, technical, and administrative support to the Outside Sales team, owning CPQ and maintaining Salesforce data. The role collaborates with Marketing, Contracts, and Project Management to ensure accurate quotes, orders, and schedules, while delivering excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred.
  • Experience in sales support, sales operations, or technical support role is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with CPQ systems strongly preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn and become fully versed in key operating systems and internal tools.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support to the Outside Sales team to help meet and exceed company sales goals.

  • Partner closely with the Marketing team on sales-related initiatives, campaigns, and materials.

Summary of Responsibility:

The Sales Operations & Support Specialist is an office-based role responsible for providing critical operational, technical, and administrative support to the Outside Sales team. This position plays a key role in ensuring sales processes run smoothly, customer expectations are met, and internal coordination across Sales, Marketing, Contracts, and Project Management is effective. A primary focus of the role includes ownership and support of the CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) system and maintaining accurate customer and sales data within Salesforce.

What You Will Contribute:
  • Provide comprehensive support to the Outside Sales team to help meet and exceed company sales goals.
  • Serve as a key internal point of contact to ensure excellent customer experience for all stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with the Marketing team on sales-related initiatives, campaigns, and materials.
  • Act as the primary owner of the CPQ (Configure, Price & Quote) system, including maintaining accurate customer and deal information in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with Contracts and Project Management teams to ensure customer machine details, statements of work (SOWs), and shipment schedules are accurate and completed on time.
  • Support customers with technical inquiries by identifying, coordinating with, and following up with the appropriate internal resources.
  • Create machine tool layouts, including sizes, specifications, and weights, to support sales and project planning efforts.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure Statements of Work (SOWs) are properly created, communicated, and adhered to.
  • Coordinate scheduling and logistics related to hosting customers, including visits, demonstrations, and meetings.
  • Prepare deal sheets, pricing documentation, and product line pricing support as needed.
  • Demonstrate strong, proactive, and effective communication with both internal teams and external customers.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail across all responsibilities.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications and Competencies:
  • College degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in a sales support, sales operations, or technical support role is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with CPQ systems strongly preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn and become fully versed in key operating systems and internal tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Proficient math and analytical skills to support pricing and deal development.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and willingness to learn complex systems and product details.
