Job summary

A staffing partner in Central Ohio is seeking a skilled demand planning professional to design and lead the Sales & Operations Planning process. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or a related field, 6 to 8 years of experience, and advanced skills in SAP Business One. You will collaborate across teams to optimize demand and supply planning processes, ensuring data quality and presenting insights to stakeholders. What you’ll do

• Design and embed a Sales & Operations Planning process into the organization
• Lead the S&OP process, coordinating across teams including Production, Purchasing, Sales, Customer Teams, Shopper Customer Marketing, Brand Marketing and Finance
• Develop the Demand plan working with cross-functional stakeholders, customers and other external partners
• Develop the Supply and Production Plan working with cross-functional stakeholders and external partners
• Develop and monitor forecast errors at all levels, ensure root-cause analyses are completed and corrective actions are taken
• Create forecast and supply models or scenarios using historical data, risks & opportunities, advanced statistics and analytics that consider concepts such as safety stock, forecast error, bias, standard deviation, and mean average percent error
• Optimize technology tools such as SAP Business One, Power BI, artificial intelligence and other data modeling tools
• Own the data quality across all data pools and systems for supply, sales forecast, demand forecast and production plan at the product and customer planning levels
• Present plans, insights and actions to key cross-functional stakeholders
• Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills to establish the consensus plan that supports the Company’s strategic direction
• Perform ad hoc analyses as necessary

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, data analytics, data science, finance, business or a related field
• 6 to 8 years of experience in demand planning for consumer product goods companies
• Advanced knowledge of SAP Business One or a similar system
• Strong knowledge of statistical forecasting principles and tools
• Power BI or Tableau or other data visualization tool experience
• Experience in consumer product goods or retail industry preferred
