Branch Manager
Job Summary

The Branch Manager is responsible for leading the branch and ensuring a safe, efficient, productive, and cohesive operation. This position oversees daily branch activities, personnel, scheduling, customer service, operational performance, and compliance with company policies and procedures.

The Branch Manager works closely with current management and senior leadership to support branch performance, profitability, quality, and employee development.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch.
  • Supervise, lead, and provide direction to all branch personnel.
  • Provide guidance, direction, training and mentorship to ensure employee professional growth
  • Work closely with management and senior leadership to achieve operational and business objectives.
  • Manage employee schedules, timecards, daily reports, and other required documentation.
  • Oversee crew scheduling and dispatch to ensure appropriate staffing and coverage.
  • Coordinate equipment and resources needed to support job requirements.
  • Monitor project performance, profitability, tickets, and quantities.
  • Ensure quality-control standards are consistently maintained.
  • Provide guidance, direction, coaching, and support to team members.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and address performance concerns as needed.
  • Participate in the hiring, counseling, disciplinary action, and termination of branch employees while ensuring all required documentation is completed.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed, particularly those related to safety, human resources, and quality control.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and respond effectively to operational or customer-related issues.
  • Communicate effectively with employees, customers, management, and other internal stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

This position includes the use of a company vehicle, company credit card, cell phone, and computer for business-related purposes.

Required Qualifications
  • Current ATSSA - TCS certification.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to guide, direct, and support team members.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to follow direction and successfully complete goals established by senior management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Willingness and ability to travel and work after hours, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two to five years of traffic control management experience.
  • Previous supervisory or branch management experience.
  • Experience with crew scheduling, dispatch, project management, or operational oversight.
  • Experience managing project profitability, job tickets, quantities, or similar operational metrics.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel outside of assigned branch locations as required.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
  • Ability to perform full-depth squats.
  • Full range of motion of the arms and legs.
  • Ability to repeatedly bend at the elbows, knees, and hips and bend forward.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds from floor to chest level and carry items horizontally.
  • Ability to raise arms above shoulder level to lift and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to step approximately 33 inches onto the tailgate of a truck.
  • Ability to work outdoors and tolerate exposure to varying environmental and weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in construction environments with exposure to reasonable noise levels.
  • Ability to work around moving mechanical parts, heavy equipment, and moving vehicular traffic.
