Sales & Merchandising Assistant to join our team. This role provides hands-on support across sales, merchandising, order management, and customer accounts, working closely with our Sales Executives, Senior Merchandisers and cross-functional teams to help ensure a seamless experience for our retail partners.

The Sales & Merchandising team works across Dreamwear's portfolio of brands and products, supporting customer orders, monitoring inventory and selling trends, analyzing sales information, and communicating with buyers. The Assistant will help manage order and inventory details, troubleshoot discrepancies, prepare reports and selling materials, and coordinate samples and other materials for customer meetings.

Throughout the year, Dreamwear hosts four major Market Weeks in addition to other regular customer meetings, stock meetings, and internal presentations. The Sales & Merchandising Assistant plays an important role in preparing for these meetings by organizing showrooms, samples, swatches, reports, and other materials, as well as capturing key feedback and follow-up items.

• Support Sales Executives in preparing for in-person and virtual customer meetings, Market Weeks, stock meetings, and presentations.
• Prepare inventory reports, CADs, selling materials, and other information for buyers.
• Review sales and inventory reports to identify best and worst sellers and communicate relevant insights to Sales, Design, and other internal teams.
• Review purchase orders against worksheets and available inventory to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
• Enter and maintain buyer worksheets, place merchandise on hold for domestic and direct orders, and update orders as needed.
• Assist with order management, including shortages, extensions, delivery changes, P.O. move-ups, and late deliveries.
• Investigate inventory and order issues, identify potential solutions, and communicate updates to the appropriate internal and external partners.
• Coordinate, pack, ship, and track samples and CADs for buyers and communicate shipment details and status as needed.
• Maintain organized sample closets and assist with showroom setup, including samples, swatches, and other meeting materials.
• Attend customer, stock, and private-label development meetings as needed, taking notes and documenting feedback and follow-up items.
• Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Design, Production, and other teams to support customer needs and business priorities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum experience of one internship related experience, preferably within the wholesale, retail, fashion, or apparel industry.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Solid analytical skills and working knowledge of retail math.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to take initiative and follow through.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across departments and with a variety of internal and external partners.
