The Sales & Marketing Director is charged with the task of increasing awareness in the community among target audiences and building relationships with potential referral sources in an effort to maximize the number of admissions. Additionally, this individual is directly responsible for building and maintaining a census that meets both payor mix and the occupancy goals of each community.
Financial
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
- Develop Marketing Plan, along with appropriate budgets that will achieve awareness and inquires among prospective residents.
- Determine how advertising funds should be allocated in coordination with facility Executive Director.
- Manage marketing budget through spend down sheets.
- Proficient with use of Point Click Care
Community Relations
- Develop and implement plan to increase overall resident census of the community and achieve specified census targets.
- Increase awareness of the community in the local marketing area.
- Complete MAPS in Point Click Care
- Identify SWOT analysis on local competition.
- Identify primary and secondary referral sources in marketing area- establish strategic relationships.
- 75% of time should be involved in activities outside of the community – identifying, qualifying and cultivating relationships with appropriate resources.
- Maintain current knowledge of regulatory related requirements related to resident movement processes.
Facility Presence
- Plan and execute facility marketing events that support good public relations.
- Communicate daily with department managers concerning the status of marketing efforts and scheduling of new resident admissions. Provide weekly and monthly reports to Executive Director.
- Support management in development of new business and collaborations as needed.
Education
- BA- Marketing, ideal candidate in an MBA Program.
- Experience with senior assisted living, skilled nursing and/or property managements and sales.
Experience/Skills
- Minimum one (1) year marketing and sales experience in a healthcare setting or homes/apartment sales and rentals with significant level of responsibility and accountability for goal achievement.
- Ability to conduct strategic market and demographic analysis within the community Primary Target market
- Ability to develop strategic marketing plan for community
- Demonstrated ability to set and achieve census and financial targets.
- Strong communication, planning and organizational skills
- Flexible schedule, ability to work nights and weekends
- Able to lift a minimum of 25 to 75 pounds.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
