Job summary

UniFirst Corporation is seeking a Sales Manager to lead an Outside Sales team and drive the development of Customers for Life in the assigned territory. You will coach reps, lead calls, and implement annual sales plans to meet quotas while maintaining staffing levels.

Responsibilities include training, performance evaluation, and collaboration with the General Manager. The ideal candidate has B2B sales experience and a strong leadership background within a family-like culture that values

Qualifications

• 4 year college degree preferred.
• 3+ years of successful B2B new account sales with 2 years in sales management preferred.
• Valid non-commercial driver’s license and safe driving record.
• If you drive your personal vehicle for business, you must meet UniFirst auto insurance requirements.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual Sales Plan and submit quarterly goals with monthly progress updates to the General Manager.
• Coach and manage salespeople to maintain contact and gain appointments with accounts; lead at times in a territory.
• Accompany Sales Representatives on calls to observe skills and assist in developing action plans.
• Conduct product knowledge and selling skills training at weekly sales meetings.
• Weekly evaluation of sales performance and guidance to achieve goals.
• Achieve location’s new account sales quota.
• Maintain budgeted staffing levels.
• Perform other sales-related tasks and assist other Sales Managers or Location Department Managers.

Responsibilities of the Sales Manager

• Develop and implement annual Sales Plan and submit Quarterly goals with monthly updates on progress to General Manager and other designated recipients.
• Coach and manage salespeople in maintaining contact and gaining appointments with assigned accounts. Becomes personally responsible for Target Accounts at times there is no salesperson in a territory.
• Accompany Sales Representatives on sales calls to observe skills and techniques and assist in developing action plans for skill improvement.
• Conduct product knowledge and selling skills training at each weekly sales meeting.
• Conduct formal weekly evaluation of overall sales performance and effectiveness of each Sales Representative. If necessary, assists/guides the Sales Representative in developing plans and strategies to achieve sales goals.
• Achieve location's new account sales quota.
• Maintain budgeted staffing levels
• Perform other sales related tasks and assists other Sales Managers or other Location's Department Managers

Qualifications

• 4 year college degree preferred.
