Sales Manager Job Description

Sales Managers are responsible for meeting studio sales goals, membership renewals, and ancillary service goals through strategic new customer outreach, in-club leads, and securing member referrals. Under the management of a Franchise Owner and support from the Corporate Team, Sales Managers must demonstrate leadership qualities across all areas of the business. They should build lasting relationships with prospective and current members to foster ambassadorship and retention. The role is rooted in hospitality and aligns with our Mission of fueling an energetic communal experience.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of retail/service sales or fitness sales experience.
  • Confidence in generating personal sales and training Sales Reps.
  • Ability to manage and drive two revenue streams: memberships and retail.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication and interpersonal skills in person, on the phone, and via email.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-changing, diverse environment.
  • Recognize areas for improvement and implement changes using good judgment.
  • Passion for fitness.
  • Strong writing and grammar skills.
  • Highly organized with proficiency in data management, prioritization, and meeting deadlines.
  • Professional, punctual, reliable, and neat.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Trustworthy with the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients, and the public.
  • Proficiency with computers and studio software.

Duties:

  • Lead Generation: Engage in marketing efforts to generate leads for the studio.
  • Lead Management: Follow the Sales Process to convert leads into members and acquire new members.
  • Membership and Member Relations: Build rapport, retain members, and generate referrals; handle member concerns promptly and solutions-focused.
  • Front Desk/Sales Team: Hire, train, and manage the front desk/sales team; supervise performance and drive results.
  • Financial Performance: Collaborate with the Studio Owner to set and meet monthly, weekly, and daily targets; conduct pre-planning to ensure financial goals are achieved.
  • Operations: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the studio; ensure all technology functions properly and report issues as needed.
