Job Summary

This position is responsible for driving revenue growth through both individual contributions for assigned accounts and via the development and execution of account strategies for both their accounts and their directly report assigned Business Development Managers' performance. This will translate to top line and bottom-line revenue targets being achieved. The position manages customer relationships, supports & helps develop strategic initiatives, including strategies related to contractual award opportunities, account mapping, new market or product targets, pricing, account assignment, and distribution, through developing strong business relationships with key decision makers.

Essential Functions
  1. Manage and maintain key account oversight through independent contributions and sales strategies to achieve or exceed revenue objectives.
  2. Manage assigned sales/business development team to support attainment of corporate revenue goals.
  3. Drive strategic sales processes, including account mapping, sales touchpoint cadence, and increasing account visibility/involvement.
  4. Develop and submit timely sales forecasts and territory analysis; cooperate with management on sales quotas and goals.
  5. Ensure strong account and territory strategies are in place and executed by Business Development Managers to meet sales goals.
  6. Establish and execute annual revenue and sales expense budgets.
  7. Develop & manage sales strategies to achieve fiscal year revenue budgets and support sales expense budgets.
  8. Manage sales funnel/pipeline to meet sales and growth objectives, including prospecting and deal management.
  9. Foster teamwork within the team and with other departments to create an environment of partnership, accountability, and high sales performance.
  10. Support negotiations, coordinate complex decision-making, and overcome objections to secure new business.
  11. Ensure customer satisfaction by identifying and resolving potential issues, risks, and exposures.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Management, Engineering, or a similar field required. An advanced Engineering degree (Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical) is preferred. Minimum of 10+ years experience in sales, specializing in batteries, energy, or consumer sectors.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills
  • Proven self-starter and team player requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of delivering technical presentations.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Prior battery industry experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Oracle, and CRM tools.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%; ability to work remotely.
