Reports To: Director of Walchem Sales and Business Development
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the development and long-term management of Walchem’s strategic and corporate accounts, including national and multi-national OEMs and global water treatment companies. The Corporate Sales Manager is a relationship-focused role, working cross-functionally and globally to build partnerships that lead to sustainable revenue growth and increased product adoption.
The position is not focused on direct transactional sales but on cultivating executive and technical relationships with strategic partners. This includes working closely with Walchem’s global Regional Sales Managers, Product Management team and Engineering team to align strategies and support the implementation of account-specific plans across geographies and sales channels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Identify, develop, and manage long-term relationships with key strategic and corporate accounts across North America and globally
- Serve as the primary point of contact for corporate-level engagements with major OEMs, national and multi-national water treatment companies, and other high-potential global partners
- Create and execute strategic account plans with clear goals, milestones, and value propositions tailored to each account
- Coordinate and align efforts with Walchem Regional Sales Managers and distribution partners worldwide to ensure effective execution of strategic initiatives
- Lead business reviews and joint planning meetings with key accounts to evaluate performance, identify new opportunities, and drive mutual growth
- Collaborate with internal teams across sales, marketing, engineering, product management, and executive leadership to meet account needs and influence product roadmaps
- Support contract negotiation and implementation of long-term agreements (pricing, technical support, supply planning, etc.)
- Maintain a strong understanding of global trends in water treatment, industrial automation, and fluid handling relevant to strategic customers
- Represent Walchem at global trade events, corporate customer meetings, and strategic planning sessions
- 25% overnight travel required, including occasional international travel
QUALIFICATIONS
- 7+ years of experience in strategic account management, business development, or OEM/global customer engagement in the industrial, water treatment, or process equipment sector
- BS in Engineering, Chemistry, or Business with demonstrated technical and commercial competence; water treatment or instrumentation/controls background strongly preferred
- Proven success managing complex, multi-stakeholder relationships within large or multi-national corporations
- Experience negotiating and executing strategic agreements and multi-site contracts
- Understanding of global industrial markets, water treatment technologies, and OEM value chains
- Ability to work across time zones and cultures in a highly collaborative environment
