We are currently seeking a motivated Sales Manager to join our North Central team. This territory includes Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our customer base, driving the promotion of HELM’s diverse chemical product portfolio, and supporting the introduction of new products and solutions that meet evolving market needs.

General Purpose
- Sales and marketing of HELM’s full portfolio of chemical products to existing customers as well as the development of new accounts within the North Central US region. This region is comprised of Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska.
- The employee plays an active role in the process of:
- developing new products
- evaluating and proposing the required logistics setup to be successful in the region
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the proactive management of our existing customers and support the positive development of these relationships through regular customer visits and interactions.
- Focusing on the North Central region, you will also promote the establishment of new customer relationships and the development of new product opportunities. In doing so, you will act in a motivated and creative way with regards to product & regional sales strategies.
- You will attend national and regional trade shows to present the company, strengthen relationships with existing customers, and establish relationships with potential new clients.
- Your focus will be meeting with external partners. To support your territory development with a more holistic view of HELM's strategy, news, and priorities, you will also attend company sales meetings and Townhalls.
- You will thoroughly maintain and update customer information in the provided tools (e.g., Salesforce) in the form and frequency defined by the Head of Sales. You will create meeting reports in a timely manner to summarize discussed topics, clearly outline action items, and involve relevant stakeholders as per the rules defined in the Sales Handbook.
- Adverse situations with customers, suppliers, logistics providers will be handled with a solutions-oriented mindset in cooperation with internal stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Strong skills in communication, presentation, and negotiation
- Excellent time management and organizational skills allowing you to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Reliable and trustworthy negotiator respected by different stakeholders. Possessing an entrepreneurial mindset with decision-making confidence.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, training, and education.
- 5+ years of chemical industry experience in sales, marketing, or procurement.
- Proven success in growing sales territory by acquiring new customers and increasing value with existing ones.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and online research tools (e.g., Hoovers, LinkedIn).
