Job summary

Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, is seeking a Sales Manager to drive group, banquet, and catering revenue. You will build lasting client relationships, work with the Sales and Catering teams, and lead efforts to expand meeting business in Orange County.

The role requires at least 2 years in a sales position at a large property, familiarity with Knowland, Cvent, and strong communication. Travel may be required; a California driver's license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years in a Sales role at a 200+ room property with at least 10,000 sq. ft of meeting space.
• AAA 4 Diamond Experience preferred.
• Brand experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of market position, competitive set, sales strategies, pricing, rate structure, booking trends, revenue/yield strategies, and sales tools.
• Achieve established Group Room/Banquets/Catering Revenue booking goals, aligned with the hotel’s annual budget and sales objectives.
• Proactively solicit and develop new group business, with emphasis on small-to-mid-size meetings, corporate groups, trainings, retreats, etc.
• Manage assigned accounts and market segments through consistent prospecting, account development, follow-up, and relationship management.
• Utilize prospecting resources to identify new opportunities.
• Respond to and qualify incoming group leads, evaluating dates, guestrooms, meeting space, F&B potential, rate expectations, and overall revenue value.
