Responsibilities
- Responsible for the continued development of the utility-scale storage opportunity pipeline in Italy.
- Work with Marketing and Sales Engineers to qualify business opportunities and create a strong opportunity pipeline within the designated sales area.
- Collaborate with legal and technical teams for contract negotiations with customers.
- Originate and close a targeted number of commercial sales opportunities per quarter.
- Evaluate market dynamics across sectors (utility, large industrial) and drivers (policy/regulatory, economics, etc.) rapidly.
- Identify and qualify market partners, building strong relationships with them.
- Perform techno-economic analyses of opportunities and associated risks.
- Understand, define, and disseminate functional requirements from the market, coordinating with internal Trina team members.
- Provide regular forecast updates.
- Provide reporting to management as required.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the utility-scale energy sector in Italy.
- 10+ years of experience in the renewable sector.
- Working knowledge of grid/utility markets and renewable technologies such as PV, wind, and/or storage.
- Ability to create and understand financial models.
- Understanding of how regulatory and policy changes affect business.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Engineering degree preferred.
- Knowledge of battery systems and/or power conversion systems.
- Fluent in English and Italian; additional languages are a plus.
