Job Title: Sales Manager
Location: Hampton Inn Colchester / Burlington, Vermont
Reports To: General Manager

Position Overview:
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving group and corporate business to the Hampton Inn Colchester / Burlington. This role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with key accounts, generating new business, and achieving revenue goals through proactive sales efforts, local marketing, and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the corporate, group, SMERF, and travel markets.

  • Maintain and grow existing client relationships to maximize repeat business.

  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan aligned with hotel goals.

  • Conduct outside sales calls, attend networking events, trade shows, and participate in community and business organizations.

  • Create and manage proposals, contracts, and follow-up communications.

  • Collaborate with the General Manager and Revenue Management to optimize pricing and availability strategies.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in the CRM system (e.g., Delphi, SalesPro, etc.).

  • Work closely with the front desk, operations, and housekeeping teams to ensure smooth execution of group stays.

  • Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports.

  • Meet or exceed budgeted revenue and room night goals.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of hotel sales experience preferred (Hampton or Hilton brand experience is a plus).

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong understanding of the local Burlington/Colchester market is a plus.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Highly motivated, goal-driven, and able to work independently.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel sales software.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
