Reports To: General Manager
Position Overview:
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving group and corporate business to the Hampton Inn Colchester / Burlington. This role focuses on building and maintaining relationships with key accounts, generating new business, and achieving revenue goals through proactive sales efforts, local marketing, and strategic partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities in the corporate, group, SMERF, and travel markets.
Maintain and grow existing client relationships to maximize repeat business.
Develop and implement a strategic sales plan aligned with hotel goals.
Conduct outside sales calls, attend networking events, trade shows, and participate in community and business organizations.
Create and manage proposals, contracts, and follow-up communications.
Collaborate with the General Manager and Revenue Management to optimize pricing and availability strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities in the CRM system (e.g., Delphi, SalesPro, etc.).
Work closely with the front desk, operations, and housekeeping teams to ensure smooth execution of group stays.
Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports.
Meet or exceed budgeted revenue and room night goals.
Qualifications:
2+ years of hotel sales experience preferred (Hampton or Hilton brand experience is a plus).
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Strong understanding of the local Burlington/Colchester market is a plus.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Highly motivated, goal-driven, and able to work independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel sales software.
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
