We have an immediate need for a Sales Manager in who will focus on our regional retail accounts for the NE region. Candidates must have a network within the golf industry and/or the retail space selling high-end golf equipment. This is a 100% remote position with travel, as needed, throughout the territory.

Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to support our NE region (NY/NJ/ CT/ MA/ PA). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and driving sales while maintaining an exceptional level of customer service.

Is your background a match?

  • 3-5+ years of sales experience for a golf manufacturer or the retail side looking to move to the brand side
  • Proficient in MS Office / retail management software and comfortable learning new systems
  • Must have a network/ book of business in the NE region (NY, NJ, CT, PA, VT, NH)
  • Passion for golf and/or sports is a must
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach and motivate a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships
  • Strong business acumen with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Familiarity with the latest industry trends and sales best practices
  • Excellent cold calling skills with strong phone etiquette
  • Minimum GED but Bachelor’s degree is preferred

What will you be doing?

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in the NE region
  • Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing sales team to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Keep current with economic indicators, changing trends, supply and demand and competitors to maintain sales volume and product mix
  • Provide the necessary support to distributors and accounts to enable them to generate leads and close new deals
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
  • Contribute as an individual contributor by aggressively pursuing sales leads by cold calling, attending events, and utilizing existing networks
  • Maintain high standards of customer service within the team to ensure client satisfaction and cultivate long-term relationships
