The primary role of the New Car Sales Manager is to operationally manage and drive the success of the new car department through developing sales consultants, working with third-party vendors, and achieving monthly sales quotas.

  1. Work directly with our employees and customers to develop relationships and help bridge disconnects in the sales process.
  2. Build rapport with customers to establish a base of referrals and a customer network.
  3. Provide training and support to the sales staff and assist in closing sales.
  4. Help manage all aspects of the sales department and inventory lot.
  5. Order and purchase vehicles for the new car inventory lot.
  6. Work with lot attendants to ensure all vehicles are properly tagged and positioned.
  7. Conduct trade appraisals and transport information into the vehicle management system.
  8. Desk deals, track revenue logs, and manage retail delivery reports.
  9. Maintain compliance with turn policy guidelines for inventory.
  10. Partner with third-party vendors and the service department to complete internal service work on used vehicles prior to entering lot inventory.
  11. Prepare and administer annual forecast and budget for the new vehicle department.
  12. Administer and monitor factory-sponsored programs.
  13. Assist and fill in for the Used Car Sales Manager when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Prior sales consultant and F&I manager experience required.
  2. 3-5 years of automotive experience required.
  3. Must be able to create and maintain customer relationships.
  4. Ability to handle a high volume of business with professionalism.
  5. Experience and ability to handle conflict resolution.
  6. Advanced computer skills with both Microsoft suite products and dealer management systems.
  7. Build relationships with local and national vendors.
  8. Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug screen).
