Responsibilities:

  • Participate in on-the-job training experiences for the Sales Manager role, learn new skills about senior living, and demonstrate increasing proficiency with sales and marketing responsibilities within Brookdale.
  • Maintain or improve occupancy levels by utilizing established sales processes, systems, and forms, and achieve community occupancy goals.
  • Assist prospective residents and their families in decision-making, respond promptly to inquiries, and conduct follow-up calls, tours, and visits.
  • Coordinate all activities needed for sales, including visits, assessments, and ensuring forms are completed prior to move-in.
  • Keep management informed about prospective move-ins and track pre-residency steps.
  • Coordinate with business development on leads and referral sources, and develop relationships to generate new leads.
  • Represent the community at outside events, participate in community involvement, and execute sales processes from leads from events.
  • Assist with resident retention through welcome events, referral programs, and visits.
  • Partner with management to develop marketing plans and achieve occupancy goals.
  • Monitor sales performance, analyze data, and report on sales activities.
  • Maintain knowledge of lead management systems and input all sales activities accordingly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years sales experience, preferably in retirement, medical, or pharmaceutical sales.
  • Valid driver's license for frequent travel.

Knowledge and Skills: Extensive knowledge of sales, marketing, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and ability to operate smartphones and software. Strong communication, relationship-building, and time management skills are essential.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Standing, walking, sitting, handling, reaching, stooping, lifting up to 25 pounds, and occasional weekend/evening work. Travel required occasionally.
