Job Description

A leading non-asset-based logistics provider is hiring a Sales Manager to expand its U.S. footprint across air freight, ocean freight, and domestic transportation. This is a revenue-generating role with full ownership of the sales cycle, focused on acquiring high-margin business through strategic, multimodal solutions.

The ideal candidate brings experience in international freight forwarding, understands the economics of non-asset-based networks, and knows how to develop profitable client relationships across trade lanes and service modes.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate new business across import/export air freight, FCL/LCL ocean freight, and domestic FTL/LTL trucking
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting, qualification, and proposal through to closing
• Design integrated logistics solutions aligned with customer requirements and company capabilities
• Leverage a vetted carrier and agent network to provide competitive, scalable freight services
• Collaborate with internal operations to ensure service execution matches client expectations
• Respond to RFQs and support pricing strategy in partnership with management
• Focus on industries such as manufacturing, energy, industrial equipment, and time-sensitive cargo

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of freight forwarding sales experience across multiple modes (air, ocean, domestic)
• Proven performance in a non-asset-based logistics environment
• Strong understanding of international shipping, routing, compliance, and documentation
• Demonstrated ability to close deals and grow gross profit through strategic account acquisition
• Familiarity with CRM tools and TMS platforms such as CargoWise (preferred)
• Self-starter with a disciplined approach to pipeline management and sales reporting
• Based in the U.S. with the ability to travel or work remotely as needed
