Job summary

This role collaborates with leadership, Service, and EMG GmbH to drive revenue, expand market presence, and maintain EMG’s reputation as a trusted technology partner across metal processing industries.

Qualifications

• 3 years of sales experience in steel or aluminum processing.
• Experience with cold-rolling, galvanizing, and finishing processing preferred.
• Experience coordinating in an international manufacturing and sales environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; ability to sell to all decision-makers.
• CRM experience including managing prospects through a CRM application; MS Dynamics a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage existing customers in North American region and grow relationships.
• Build and manage a pipeline of prospects from initiation to closing.
• Provide technical guidance on product placement and application to ensure success.
• Meet or exceed sales revenue and booking goals; collaborate with Service and GmbH teams.

The Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in advancing EMG’s commercial strategy and driving sustainable growth across the North American market. This position is responsible for developing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and translating EMG’s technical capabilities into customer-focused solutions. By aligning sales execution with organizational objectives and collaborating closely with leadership, Service, and EMG GmbH, the Sales Manager directly contributes to revenue performance, market expansion, and the continued strength of EMG’s reputation as a trusted technology partner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage existing customers in the region and develop relationships with customers who use competitive products.
• Build and continue to grow a pipeline of prospects by identifying untapped markets and managing the sales stages from initiation to closing.
• Perform machining and process measurements and provide technical guidance to customers on optimal product placement and application to ensure successful system installation and performance.
• Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
• Manages customer accounts and manages the business relationship with the client.
• Accurately maintains customer and order information in the CRM.
• Seek to learn and respond to customer needs
• Meet and exceed sales revenue and booking goals.
• Collaborate and work as a team with Service, Administration, and GmbH colleagues.
• Attend trade meetings, industry conventions, and company training.
• All other duties as assigned.

Experience Requirements:

• 3 years of sales experience with in the steel or aluminum processing industry.
• Experience with cold-rolling, galvanizing, and finishing processing strongly preferred.
• Proven experience working and coordinating in an international manufacturing and sales environment preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to sell to all decision-making levels.
• Proven experience in customer relationship management.
• Experienced in the management of prospects through a CRM application. Experience with MS Dynamics a plus.
• Previous experien ce as a sales representative, consistently meeting or exceeding sales and margin targets.

Education requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business/Marketing or similar degree, or equivalent experience.

Travel Requirements:

• Up to 60% travel throughout the United States and Canada.
