Making Complex Financial Instruments Simple
Company Overview

Founded to bridge the gap between advisors' trading activities and optimal client outcomes, Marine Layer Advisors focuses on leveraging derivatives expertise to select structured notes that align with client needs over broker incentives. Our mission is to assist advisors in reducing their clients' risks through structured notes. As a rapidly growing firm, we value innovation, integrity, and the power of informed financial decisions.

The Role

You'll manage 5+ salespeople across the country and dialers in our Philadelphia office, transforming talented individuals into a high‑performing, accountable team. This isn't about being the best salesperson—it's about building the system that creates multiple top performers.

What You’ll Actually Do
  • Run stand‑ups that people actually value (not just attend)
  • Coach individuals based on their unique strengths and weaknesses
  • Build accountability without becoming a micromanager
  • Transform our follow‑up from “whenever” to “always within 24 hours”
  • Make our pipeline forecasts actually accurate
  • Turn our dialers into appointment‑setting machines
  • Create SOPs that people actually follow
You’re Our Person If
  • You have MAP (Management Action Programs) training or certification – this is essential
  • You’ve managed 5+ person B2B sales teams in financial services
  • You get more excited about team wins than individual glory
  • You think in systems, processes, and metrics
  • You can coach senior reps without ego and junior reps without condescension
  • You’re ready to build, not just maintain
You’re Not Our Person If
  • You need lots of work‑from‑home flexibility
  • You expect a perfect tech stack and established processes
  • You manage through fear or favoritism
  • You think culture doesn’t matter if numbers are hit
What We Offer
  • $80k-$100k base (depending on experience) + performance‑based incentives
  • Ground floor opportunity in a scaling startup
  • Direct access to leadership team
  • Build the playbook that scales from 5 to 50 salespeople
  • Real impact: your systems will define our sales culture
  • Philadelphia office with your team on‑site daily
Our Values Matter
  • Trust & Integrity: We put client interests first, even when it costs us
  • Service & Expertise: We’re derivatives nerds who make complexity simple
  • Innovation & Learning: We’re going AI‑first while competitors resist
Ready to Build Something?

Send your resume and a cover letter that shows us you get it. Address:

  • Your MAP experience – Specific implementation and results
  • Your proudest team transformation – Numbers and narrative
  • Your coaching philosophy – How you develop diverse talent
  • Why sales operations excites you – Building vs. selling

We’re not looking for perfect. We’re looking for proven operators who can build our sales machine while we’re flying it.
