Job Description

Job Location: Remote, preferably located in Mountain Standard or Pacific Standard time zones.

Annual Salary Range: USD $99,000 – $123,000

Danfoss is seeking an energy-efficiency-minded Sales Engineer to develop sales of Electric heating products in the USA and Canada. You will collaborate with the local team to generate pipelines and meet sales targets, develop opportunities, and build strategic partnerships. The role requires motivation, tact, sensitivity, and professionalism, as you will have daily contact with customers and influence their decisions. Success in this role involves driving a clear go-to-market strategy with an inclusive approach, prioritizing efforts to maximize business targets and develop long-term opportunities.

Job Responsibilities
  1. Generate leads and identify potential clients through various channels, e.g., Electric heating & Snow-melt solutions in Residential, Commercial, and Light Industrial segments.
  2. Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations to clients to showcase the features and benefits of the electrical heating products.
  3. Provide post-sales technical assistance and support.
  4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  5. Track sales performance, analyze sales data, and prepare reports for management.
  6. Collaborate with Product Management to explore portfolio gaps and advise on new product development.
Background & Skills
Educational Background
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Proven experience as an electric sales engineer or in a related role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical heating products.
  • Expect to travel approximately 30-50% for training, trade shows, and events, primarily domestically, with potential international travel.
Desired Skills And Attributes
  • Industry experience of 3-5 years; proximity to Electric heating solutions is an advantage.
  • Experience working closely with electric engineers and installers.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Service-oriented and team player mindset.
  • Ability to work without boundaries.
