Company Overview: DoubleTree Suites Minneapolis Downtown is part of MCR, the third-largest hotel owner-operator in the United States, managing a portfolio of 148 premium-branded hotels across 37 states.

Role Summary:

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales and revenue, focusing on maximizing hotel revenue and profit while delivering exceptional service to guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Achieve or exceed booking goals for guest room revenue.
  2. Manage costs and revenue to meet budgeted targets, negotiating within established guidelines.
  3. Handle inquiries promptly and ensure smooth flow of group paperwork.
  4. Develop new business through market analysis, prospecting, and relationship building.
  5. Conduct in-person sales calls and entertain clients as appropriate.
  6. Monitor competitive market offerings and adjust strategies accordingly.
  7. Prepare detailed sales contracts and group resumes to ensure clarity and service quality.
  8. Follow up on bookings, group progress, and solicit repeat business.
  9. Participate in sales initiatives including RFP processes and sales blitzes.
  10. Maintain and develop online and social media presence to promote the hotel.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred.
  • Relevant hospitality sales experience and strong local market connections.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and provide excellent customer service.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Physical and Language Skills:

Must be able to stand for long periods, operate office equipment, and communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal.
