About The Role
The Sales Manager leads a team responsible for generating qualified pipeline and converting demand into revenue for a B2B technology platform. The role combines frontline coaching, forecast ownership, deal strategy, and process management across CRM, sales-engagement, and revenue-intelligence tools.
This leader matters because consistent execution at the top and middle of the funnel directly determines growth. The role will establish operating standards for prospecting, discovery, qualification, pipeline hygiene, and handoffs while helping account executives and sales development representatives improve performance against quota.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and develop a team of SDRs, BDRs, or account executives against activity, pipeline, conversion, and revenue targets
- Inspect and improve sales execution across Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Salesloft, Gong, or comparable platforms
- Run weekly forecast, pipeline, and deal-review meetings using stage progression, close probability, coverage, and historical conversion data
- Build territory, account, and prospecting plans that align ICP definitions, intent signals, buying committees, and segment priorities
- Train representatives on discovery, MEDDICC or similar qualification frameworks, objection handling, executive communication, and multi-threaded selling
- Partner with marketing, customer success, and revenue operations to improve lead routing, attribution, handoffs, lifecycle stages, and reporting
- Recruit, onboard, and performance-manage team members while documenting coaching plans, ramp milestones, and measurable improvement goals
What We Are Looking For
- 3-8 years of B2B technology or SaaS sales experience, including at least 1-2 years managing or mentoring quota-carrying sales professionals
- Demonstrated success leading a team to pipeline, bookings, or revenue targets in a high-volume sales environment
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce or HubSpot and sales-engagement, conversation-intelligence, and revenue-analytics tools
- Strong command of pipeline management, forecasting, qualification methodology, territory planning, and sales performance metrics
- Clear, direct communicator who can coach calls, deliver actionable feedback, and manage performance expectations
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: Experience selling developer tools, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, data platforms, or other technical B2B products; familiarity with MEDDICC, SPICED, Challenger, or similar frameworks; experience managing remote teams
